for the birds is the first collaborative work of choreographer Melinda Ring and artist Jennifer Nelson. The artists lived in the gallery with twenty-one birds for twenty-one days, and attempted with all sincerity, to create art and choreography that is “for the birds.”

Installation: wood, steel, tree, vinyl, pigeons, two-channel video, two-way video monitors, table cloth, glassware, flax seeds, carrots, sesame seeds, corn, peanuts, mâche, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, steel cut oats, water.
